How typical that close to an election the government wheels out new plans that will reform some area of the country that’s been in dire need of a makeover for years. This time around it’s Gordon Brown’s government setting out plans to revamp the way that cancer is detected and treat in the UK as apparently we’re lagging behind our European peers in this area. Will it work? Will it even be implemented in this Government’s lifetime? Or is it just one of those carrots that are held up to lure voters to keep supporting a crippled Party who have not produced any results to warrant being re-elected into office. One only has to look at the news that the Anti-Poverty strategy of 1999 that was to cut child poverty numbers by 50% in 10 years, which hasn’t made the improvements it said it would and is now in need of cash – if cash can’t be found to keep a pledge already made, how can the Government be issuing new plans for spending and expect the people of the country to trust them?

Finally we seem to be progressing with the site.Well I've totally finished the IPL skin treatment London part

Beautiful Christina Aguilera is gracing the cover of the American version of Marie Claire this month – and she’s doing it in a big way by baring her baby bump and even though she’s got a little clothing to just about cover the essentials on the cover, inside she’s as naked as her baby’s going to be at birth!

Demi Moore started a trend by breaking the myth about pregnant bodies being ugly by allowing herself to be photographed in all of her pregnancy glory for a major international magazine. Christina may not be breaking ground with these photos, but she is reinforcing the message that there’s nothing ugly or unattractive about carrying a child. She may be a bit bigger than her normal super-slim self, but she’s none the less beautiful and unlike some celebrities, she’s not afraid to show off her temporary additional pounds. Be proud Christina, that’s a timeless and graceful picture that has more class than some photos taken of slightly (and only slightly) more clothed celebrities in recent weeks!

What is Britney Spears thinking? Does she have a stylist? Does she have an advisor or a friend? Does she have a mirror for goodness sake?

Despite all of her partying, drug issues, car issues and general “bad parent” role model attitude that she’s been displaying in recent months, I’d of assumed that if she’s contesting the custody of her children going to her children’s father, that she would want to be taken seriously in court. Instead she turns up looking like an escapee from rehab, complete with dark glasses and hair that must be false because the hair of us normal creatures doesn’t grow THAT fast.

Even with all of the scandal that surrounds her, the news both true and speculated, and the rehab revolving door, wouldn’t you think that she’d of at least put on a “show” for the judge? With a bit of guidance from any mother – including her own one would think – she’d of turned up to court looking every bit the young celebrity yummy mummy she should be. Yes it would probably be a sham, but at least it would show that she wanted her kids back enough to make the effort to create the sham! As it is, the slob look just adds fuel to the fire that says she’s not interested in the kids and they are safer with their father.

Perfect Fried Chicken. Dallas Fried Chicken. Master Fried Chicken. Tennessee Fried Chicken. Dixie Fried Chicken. The list is endless, and something unique amongst the British urban landscape – The Fried Chicken Shop. Most often halal, rarely over £3 and usually open late into the night, it has become the staple diet of young men and of many young women across London. Be it the shift worker, the party goer or the church baptist, fried chicken and chips, with a side of ribs and a diet cola provides a tasty and filling snack with low prices to match. Now that winter draws near, the fluorescent lights of these restaurants provide a comforting glow that promises hot food, quick and easy.

Ten years ago, these didn’t exist. There were a couple of kebab houses. The odd pizzeria and burger bar. But most fast food in London was provided by McDonald's, Burger King and what was then, Kentucky Fried Chicken. Pizza Hut was an expensive treat and the majority of readily available ethnic food in the capital was the Chinese takeaway or the Curry House, a step-up from fast food. So how, against the backdrop of Fast Food Nation has the chicken house become a staple across the Capital?

The big American corporations have not expanded like this. In fact the tales of woe that have followed the giants such as McDonald's have been rarely been out of the news. And it isn’t as if fried chicken is any healthier than a hamburger. Also, the chain formerly known as ‘Kentucky’ have not expanded at all in London. So, what has been the success behind PFC, DFC, MFC, TFC and all the other FC’s?

It’s probably been twofold. Being almost always Halal, the fried chicken shop has opened itself to a previously untapped market, the Muslims. Secondly and just as important for survival, they provide filling food for the same price or cheaper than their rivals. While the big players are now charging up to £4 for something that still leaves you hungry, the Fried Chicken Revolution has allowed the ordinary Londoner to be filled up for less than the price of a train ticket. It’s not our diets that have improved, just the change in our wallets. Finally we seem to be progressing with the site.Grena has completely re-designed the perlane clinic part

It’s a sad reflection of our society when there is so much emphasis on saving the planet, and the fact that we’re all going to be obese if we don’t stop eating fast food, rather than the fact that there’s an increasing number of people – and in particular young people – being the victims of gun crime in the UK. We have come to expect this from the US. It’s so common there that we hardly hear about it unless it’s an attack on people in an educational or government institution. Is this really what we want for our country?

On the Sky News website Commander Chief Superintendent Jon House is quoted as having said, “Gun crime is very rare in Sheffield, with only one other fatal shooting in the city in the last 18 months." Perhaps it is “only” 2 deaths in Sheffield during that period, but what about the statistics of the country overall. How many deaths have there been due to gun crime in the UK in past 12 months, and how much higher is that than 5 years ago?

Following the massacre of children at Dunblane there was a public outcry about gun control and measures were taken to get guns off the streets. It would appear from the amount of recent shootings that they’re back and it’s time the powers that be started to get tough again about guns before the situation becomes out of control as it appears to be in the US. We are not ruled by some dumb decision that gives people the right to carry any kind of weapon so it’s time that our laws against carrying guns was enforced with the same enthusiasm that the US uses to protect its right to do so!

Finally we have had progress with the website. This is what I'm going to change next the sculptra clinic page

Your computer goes down, the coffee machine runs out of coffee, the milks gone off and you don't notice it till you've already put it into your tea and taken a gulp (and there's no suger in it to mask the taste because there was only brown suger left and you're not eating that because your taking some kind of stupid moralistic stand that doesn't even make sense to you anymore against the tree hugging hippies)… you know?

Well my day wasn't quite as bad as that, but I'll say I'm glad that it's over. Ah… it's times like these that I'm glad that god/satan/dfs invented the Sofa.
