My Body Skin Care Techniques

I am a simple woman who does not spend a whole lot of time in front of the mirror. Basically, I take my shower, brush my teeth, style my hair and put on my makeup. That is about it. It generally takes me around 20 minutes in the bathroom to get ready for the day. I do not use a blow dryer, curling iron or anything like that. I simply apply my conditioner, comb in, leave it in (I have thick, dry hair) and spray my hair wet to style. That's it. I keep it real simple.

Now, when it comes to my body skin care, that is a bit different. I still do not go overboard with the whole thing, but I do like to keep my skin moisturized and that is a part of my daily routine as well.

First, after my shower and before I dry myself off with a towel, I like to add a moisturizer to my entire body. Generally, I will use something with Vitamin E, aloe or cocoa butter in it. After I apply the moisturizer, I then rub it in. At this point, it is beading up in my skin and my skin becomes quite slippery. I let it sit on my skin for about 2 minutes and then I pat myself dry with a towel.

By patting myself dry instead of rubbing myself dry with a towel, I get to keep some of the moisturizer on my skin. It makes my skin feel soft and smooth all day and it smells great as well. I have to say that by following this body skin care routine each and every day, I have not had a problem with dry skin. I have been told that my skin is soft like a baby's. That is being totally honest.

I think the key is to apply the moisturizer while your skin is still damp from the shower and then rub it in. Then only pat your skin dry with a towel so as to leave the moisturizer in your skin.

As I said, I am a simple woman and do not invest in all sorts of beauty products, lotions and potions to make myself beautiful. I believe in inner beauty. However, I also believe in soft smooth skin and taking good care of my skin is important to me. It only takes me around 20 minutes a day to look and feel good about myself.
