A recent discussion with Matt Groaning and David Cohen. Has revived new hope that their may be a new series of the previously cancelled Futurama.
Cohen Commented. "One month ago I would also have said we were going to start tomorrow. So …" He pauses. "My current estimate is that we're starting tomorrow."
After 5 season the show was canned after a fairly unsuccessful run on American television, however the DVD sales have been so great that the there is a outcry to recommission the series. The final episode was left oddly with it implying that Fry's long-standing wooing of Leela was finally over. This ment that the story was over the two main characters romance finally had some closure. It was only suggested though and could easily be disregarded in aid of a sequel.
